Hello DS106! I am back with a second assignment bank for this week. Since I completed this assignment I now have 6.5 stars out of 12 for the week. In this assignment, we were challenged to create and design a postcard. I chose to use Canva to create my assignment and this made the process pretty easy. I chose from the postcard template choices and then I added text addressing where the postcard was coming from. I chose to make the card from Nags Head NC because that is a common vacation spot for my family over the summer. I love the background that I was able to use for my postcard because it looks like I am currently swimming in the ocean. When I considered the design for this postcard I decided that I wanted it to be relaxed and true to what I experience on my vacation. This background was perfect because I am always at the beach, swimming in the ocean. I love the lettering and the quote that I used on my postcard. Looking at the design I can see without even thinking I made sure that I included characteristics that I learned about. The image is balanced and the color choice flows well as a watercolor theme. Overall I feel this is an effective postcard design wise.
